LPAT Test Content
The LPAT covers the abilities that are essential to work as an applications programmer or analyst:
- Reasoning and Problem Solving
- Analyzing numerical and logical information
- Using and Analyzing Written Documents
It rigorously tests these essential areas by using questions that mimic actual programming tasks. The test includes nine different types of questions that require candidates:
- Determine what information is relevant to a particular problem
- Use diagrams
- Change ideas into formulas
- Follow logical rules and analyze problems
- Learn and use pattern matching rules
- Comprehend and parse written assignments
- Understand and use basic business English
